Dan Springs Art Camp!

bDSCF1616
Next week we’ll have our third art retreat/camp in the Smoky Mountains. I’m so excited! We did retreats in 2009 – inspiration: Andy Goldsworthy and 2010 – inspiration: Maria Sibylla Merian. This time we’re celebrating World Watercolor Month with a focus on – you guessed it! – watercolor!  If all goes well we plan to participate in the Cashiers Plein Air Festival Quick Paint on Friday, July 15th. Visits to the John Campbell Folk School and Biltmore Mansion are also on the schedule.  Good company, great fresh food, mountain views, clear spring water – I can’t wait!

Artful Healing for World Pediatric Project

Remember – Artful Healing, a Bon Air Artist Association fundraiser for World Pediatric Project, is happening this Sunday, February 28th, from 10 am til 5 pm at the Jepson Alumni Center at the University of Richmond. Here’re two of my watercolors and a photograph that are included in the show.  Come on out and see the work of over 70 excellent local artists! All pieces will be for sale. Hope to see you there!

For those of you unable to get to Richmond, Virginia tomorrow, I’ve added a tab to this blog, Gallery of Photos, that shows a selection of pieces that I have available for purchase.  If you’d like more information, send a email to the address shown on the Contact tab.
