Matted and Framed!
Artful Healing, a Bon Air Artist Association fundraiser for World Pediatric Project, is this Saturday at the Jepson Alumni Center at the University of Richmond! Come out and see some great art for free! My watercolors will be displayed in the Ballroom near the French doors to the patio. 70 artists are participating.
My work is matted, framed and labeled – ready to go! Above are a few teaser scans – a bit high contrast – come out to see them in their full range of tones!
Next week we’ll have our third art retreat/camp in the Smoky Mountains. I’m so excited! We did retreats in 2009 – inspiration: Andy Goldsworthy and 2010 – inspiration: Maria Sibylla Merian. This time we’re celebrating World Watercolor Month with a focus on – you guessed it! – watercolor! If all goes well we plan to participate in the Cashiers Plein Air Festival Quick Paint on Friday, July 15th. Visits to the John Campbell Folk School and Biltmore Mansion are also on the schedule. Good company, great fresh food, mountain views, clear spring water – I can’t wait!
